Discrimination has a negative connotation. It’s not popular. I’m scared to be associated with anyone who advocates for it.
Diversity and discrimination are two sides of the same coin. Through discrimination, we notice and appreciate diversity. Without discrimination, we hide diversity.
Yet, because one sounds more socially acceptable, we are ready to associate.
Have you ever taken notice of words that you shy away from because of social judgments? One way to break those judgments is by facing them head on. The best way to beat darkness is by switching on the light.
