Sensitivity is our ability to sense things.
Sensitivity makes us vulnerable. The more we are aware of what’s going on around us and within us, the more things there are to impact us.
It’s easier to be insensitive and callous. Many people work hard at desensitizing themselves, learning to be indifferent and justifying why it’s not their problem.
“Real men never cry” is one of the ways our society encourages men to desensitize.
Yet we all want to be in relationships with people who are very sensitive to us and our needs.
If you want it for yourself, be it for others.
In which direction are you heading, toward becoming more or less sensitive?
